About - Why I paint?
I have always been a creative person. Painting became a focal point in my life in 2013. I began to use art as a therapeutic device. I was coping with the diagnosis of my father, Joe Columbus, with cancer. Joe left his physical form on June 9th, 2015. I have decided to continue to paint in his honor and pay tribute to the life lessons he passed down to me. Joe taught me the power of love, kindness, compassion, and integrity in the human soul. It is my personal mission to carry out the legacy of my father with my own life and art work.
My Journey in Artistic expression began with the in an unconvential way, but it has brought me to face my truths. Art has provided for me more than I could ever repay, but as my journey in art continues I want to accept the responsibility of the Artist in modern society.
